OUR THOUGHTS
Row House Williamsburg is half rowing, half strength training. You’ve got colorful lights, loud music, and an instructor on speaker guiding you through it.
The erging (aka the rowing machine) is a serious full body workout, if done correctly. We felt the burn in our legs, arms, core, and back. It’s also clear that there’s a specific technique to get the most out of the machine (spoiler: It’s all in the legs); the instructor goes over proper form beginning of class, and how to read the numbers on the machine to break it down for you. The strength training portion is exactly what you’d expect: push-up, squats, lunges, burpees, etc. And you rotate about 4 times throughout the class.
Overall, this is a pretty solid workout that will undoubtedly leave you feeling sore and sweaty afterward.
